Return & Exchange Policy

1. Eligibility Requirements


Returns/exchanges must be initiated within 30 days of delivery (aligned with U.S. Consumer Rights Act) and meet furniture and decor-specific quality and hygiene criteria for wendym Store.

Eligible Items


  • Unused, Unassembled, Original Packaging: Mattresses (still in factory-sealed plastic wrap—critical for hygiene); bookshelves and coffee tables (unassembled, all hardware and manuals included, no scratches or dents); room decor (unopened, tags attached, no damage to fragile items like vases or wall art).
  • Defective Items: Products with manufacturing flaws (e.g., mattress springs sagging, coffee table legs uneven, bookshelf panels cracked, decor items with chips or breaks) or shipping damage (e.g., crushed mattress box, dented coffee table frame, broken decor during transit).
  • Incorrect Items: Receiving a product that doesn’t match your order (e.g., twin mattress instead of queen, oak bookshelf instead of walnut, wrong size wall art).
  • Safety Concerns: Products that fail to meet U.S. safety standards (e.g., mattresses without fire-retardant certification, bookshelves with unstable hardware)—we offer full refunds + free return shipping for these cases.

Non-Eligible Items


  • Used/Assembled Items: Mattresses that have been removed from factory-sealed packaging (due to hygiene regulations); assembled bookshelves or coffee tables (even if unused, disassembly may cause damage); decor items that have been hung, displayed, or opened (unless defective).
  • Custom-Made Items: Personalized furniture (e.g., engraved coffee tables, custom-size bookshelves, bespoke wall decor) cannot be returned unless defective—we confirm this before processing custom orders for wendym Store.
  • Damaged by Misuse: Products damaged from improper assembly (e.g., wobbly bookshelves from missing hardware), improper use (e.g., coffee table scratched by heavy objects), or improper storage (e.g., mattress stained from spills).

2. How to Initiate a Return/Exchange


  1. Submit a Request: Email fgersi852@gmail.com with:

    • Full name, order number, delivery address.
    • Product details (e.g., “Queen Memory-Foam Mattress,” “Solid Oak Wall-Mounted Bookshelf,” “Mid-Century Wooden Coffee Table,” “Bohemian Wall Tapestry”).
    • Reason for return/exchange (e.g., “mattress is too firm,” “coffee table legs are uneven,” “bookshelf is too small for my space,” “wall art arrived broken”).
    • Supporting Evidence:
      • Damaged/defective items: Clear photos/videos of the issue (e.g., sagging mattress, cracked bookshelf panel, chipped vase, dented coffee table) and original packaging.
      • Incorrect items: Photos comparing the received product to your order confirmation (e.g., twin vs. queen mattress label, oak vs. walnut wood grain).


    We approve/deny requests within 2 business days and provide a Return Authorization (RA) number if approved—do not return items without an RA number (unauthorized returns are rejected by wendym Store).

  2. Prepare the Item:

    • Mattresses: Repackage in the original factory-sealed plastic and box—if the box is damaged, contact us for a replacement shipping box (we provide it for free).
    • Bookshelves & Coffee Tables: Disassemble (if assembled) and repack in original box with all hardware and manuals—wrap wooden surfaces in bubble wrap to prevent scratches.
    • Room Decor: Repack fragile items (vases, wall art, figurines) in original foam or bubble wrap—use the original box for maximum protection.

  3. Arrange Return Shipping:

    • Defective/Incorrect/Safety Issues: We coordinate free return shipping via a specialized furniture carrier (for mattresses, bookshelves, coffee tables) or standard courier (for decor). For large items, we schedule curbside pickup at your convenience.
    • Change of Mind: You pay return shipping fees, which vary by item size:
      • Room Decor: $8.99 flat fee.
      • Bookshelves/Coffee Tables: $29.99 (covers freight costs for heavy items).
      • Mattresses: $49.99 (covers specialized mattress shipping and hygiene inspection).

        Use a tracked service and share the tracking number with us.

3. Refund & Exchange Timelines


  • Refunds: Processed 5–7 business days after inspection (mattresses require an additional 2-day hygiene check). Refunds include:

    • Faulty/incorrect/safety issues: Full product price + original delivery fee (no deductions).
    • Change of mind: Product price minus return shipping fees and a 15% restocking fee (to cover repackaging, quality inspection, and restocking for large furniture items).

      Refunds go to your original payment method—banks may take 3–5 days to credit funds.

  • Exchanges:

    • Same-product replacement (e.g., new queen mattress for defective one, new coffee table for uneven-legged one): Shipped within 7–10 business days—free delivery from wendym Store.
    • Size/style exchange (e.g., twin to queen mattress, oak to walnut bookshelf): Processed once the return is verified. Pay the price difference (if new item is more expensive) or receive a partial refund (if cheaper).
